What a delightful movie!  It was interesting that there was not a rush to the door at the end of the movie.  I did have an appointment to make and was the first to get up.  After I got up, others also did.  A man commented to me "party pooper".

I heard a daughter telling her elderly mom that the movie was fantastic.  I felt compassion for the mom.  I invited her to see the movie with me.  She was so excited.  No one asks her to go to the movies with them.

Interesting, it happened again, no one got up as soon as the movie ended.

This will be a new habit in my life - to take a lonely person to the movies if there is a good one showing. I am sure this woman's eyes are not that great and the large screen is so much better than the TV screen.

Check out those muscles, straight legs, so rounded and fully packed, those soulful eyes....

Sad but true these beefcake pictures may make men and women drool .....
for a steak, that is!

For 12 years I have been trying to take a picture of Angel's face, without her looking po'd. Even outside with natural light, thinking the flash bothered her. Nope. I also have a lot of pictures of her ears, back of the head, etc. She seems to know EXACTLY when to move her head.

Having an ego problem, I put her in a tree, sure kept her eyes open but she didn't talk to me the rest of the day. That smile on her face is not exactly one of joy.

Simon made a real impact on my life this week. He explained to the contestants how to be on top. I looked at my artwork. Daniel wrote a poem for one of my blogs. I am painting a picture to be the background for his words. Three tries and I was still not happy. Oh, I have not had training in painting. No matter, try anyway - why not! What was wrong with them?

Simon summed it up. I was just putting paint on paper, looked ok - if it was a song, something you would hear in a karaoke bar like Simon says.. I painted in a safe mode.

4th try will be the charm - Simon's advice taken to be creative, rise above what I think my standards are right now, Go For It with PASSION AND NOT LESS THAN 100% EFFORT. Bet that is the way Daniel creates his poems.

Guess that also applies to everything you do in life - just a bit of common sense.

(wonder if Simon's parents realized what he would be doing in life when they named him Simon - the Simon says game was created for him. Do what Simon says and it can lead you to the top)

Even though I was told small fish tanks are hard to keep, I wanted one.  The last couple of years were frustrating when fish died.  Of course, there were the two that lived - a cleaner-upper and a neon.  I nearly gave up to give these fish to someone else.  Well, the neon kept looking at me.  I think I saw one big fish tear fall down his cheek which renewed my quest to have the perfect tank condition and friends for him.

OK, kept changing the water -  the 4 new ones died.  Bought an inexpensive water  tester.  Egad, the water tested deep blue - no good for neons,  THEN I tested the water out of my tap - No Wonder the water tested deep blue - so did the water out of the tap.

Off onto the web - very expensive to buy the chemicals to make the water more acidic.  Local aquarium store didn't have anything to help me except to say - just have gold fish.  I don't put chemicals in me, so I not going to dose Henry and Joe with them.

I DEMANDED an answer from the Universe.  Felt like cleaning out  my kitchen cabinets, and came across a pitcher with a water filter given to me never used for I have well water.  Why not?  Filled it and tested the water filtered by it.  PERFECT ACIDITY.  Now I can  have the kinds of fish I want.

I hope this will help others that want to have small tanks.

Survival is the focus for every living being on Earth.

Humans cannot live without flora and fauna.

Animals can live without humans but need plants.

Most plants can live without humans or animals.

Therefore, plants are superior.  Respect that piece of lettuce on your plate.

Humans cannot feel they are so powerful that they can destroy the Earth, only their ability to live on it.

6 year old Olivia's Mom called.  Olivia saved last year's Christmas tags from "Santa".  Yesterday she asked her Mom, Dad, and older Sister to write the name Santa on a piece of paper.  She then proceeded to compare the signatures to the tags. (she watches detective shows)

Her Mom was on the alert when Olivia began questioning her why she needed money for Christmas if all you have to do is ask Santa.  Vicki explained that we also buy presents for each other and the food.  In return, Olivia made out a very, very expensive list for Santa.

I am thinking about having a local police officer (because of caller ID) phone the mother tonight.  That her daughter is requesting Mom and Pop to be questioned with the polygraph
machine.

I am not sure if I would have to leave town when her parents find that I did it..  Either that or explain to Olivia what a lie detector is and have her put it on her Santa list. (she probably already knows what it is)

This is just too good to pass up and not do something!

Trees like people are not appreciated by some who don't look beyond the outer trimmings. Tried to do the Tom thing with pictures - can't figure how to get them here. So.

I find it amazing that Jodi, Ron, and staff can have a life while working these hours that are different than the people they live with.  How do you do it?  They look to be too happy not to have a personal and fulfilling life.

I would love to have 5th graders submit some of the questions on our news.  After all, the question is are you smarter than a 5th grader, not a 5th grade teacher.

Gee, you would think that germs are something new.  I think they have been around even before people have been on Earth.   Can you think of anything that is sterile anywhere?  Even if you opt to walk around in a sterile suit, the chemicals the suit is made of could kill you.....

I feel that fear is the greatest contributor to disease.  Have you noticed that the people who constantly say they are going to get sick, get sick?  Have you noticed that people who are obsessed with germs end up getting funny rashes and stuff  on them?  Ask and you will receive.

Instead of creating more fear, how about teaching people how to eat and sleep properly to build the immune system naturally.  The immune system heals during sleep but not if you spend the night worrying  about dying instead of sleeping.

To those who really want to be scared about germs -  any little buggers you picked up during the day has been collecting and growing  all night while you sleep. That good night kiss your mate gives you. Did you interrogate him/her where they were all day?  Guess you could take all the sheets/blankets off and wash them in bleach every day.  Who knows what has been growing in the dryer and will spread to your sheets.  Could spray the dryer with clorox before drying the clothes.  But, how old is the Clorox and how potent is it?

You get up and walk to the bathroom.  There could have been wee little creatures such as a mouse that came out during the night and you are stepping on the places he/she had stepped, not knowing where those little feet were before coming into your house.

You turn on the water.  If it comes from a well like mine at 700' deep, it was filtered through DIRT just like all water wells are, and there are earthworms and other creatures who eliminate in the soil. Or chemical laden from city water.  ( Think about the wonderful  time you had splashing in a lake or the ocean this summer and all the fishes eliminating, ducks/geese/birds dropping their stuff in the water.  Or in a city pool the 2 legged letting go of their water.)

You don't think of where your breakfast was before it got to your home or what chemicals have been put in it or you would die from starvation.  Plus, the gases emitting from the coating on the pans will get you before the germs have a chance to.

You go outside.  The wind could be carrying stuff dropped on trees from birds which dried and became a powder and you are breathing it in.  Do you shoot all the birds, kill all the trees which oxygenate the air?  Or stop the wind? Wear a mask you washed and dried in the Clorox'd dryer?

In the subway or walking to work, you are breathing in the same air as all the people next  to you.  Who knows what stuff is on their breath. How about the exhaust fumes from cars?

Do you check how clean the kitchen is every day when you go out for lunch?  Or check if your waiter has washed his hands after serving the other person? Is the cook wearing gloves?

You come home and your child learned in school that there are all sorts of germs in our bodies that are  needed to be healthy. Take the child out of school?

The list goes on.....  Oh, now we learn that the anti-bacterial soaps are dangerous.

But, not to worry, for the other doom mongers say the world will end on 12/21/12.

So, eat drink, sleep and be merry, for eventually we all will die. At least you will die happy.  And I bet we will all die at one time or another...  It is guaranteed that the bacteria will win out and those little buggers will be feasting on your remains until you are gone.

I wonder if you have a better chance of being killed on I-80 in NJ rather than from germs in your home.

Thanksgiving is near.  Besides giving thanks and gratitude for all in my life every day.  For the entire month of Nov. I work to have all old stuff done so that I do wake up on Thanksgiving morning - thankful.

Mom's Thanksgiving cactus started to bloom today.  I am so "thankful" it doesn't have the sharp edges that my Mom had.   Smile.  They were lessons for me to be strong.

Put on the radio and most of the music was sad..... opted for a CD.  Then I was thinking about Brooklyn in the days that  I think it was Connie Francis who sang the song "Mama". It was in Italian and I remember the old ladies sitting on the stoops and crying, holding their hands clutched over their hearts with memories of their own mothers.  Tender time.

When I get lonely for my Pop, the Eddie Fisher song, Oh My Papa, comes to mind and I feel better.   Pop was wonderful, well, so was Mom. (She may be reading as I type and I don't want to tick her off.)

How about some modern day songs about the love of mother, father, children?  How about a song about someone divorced now understanding that love can change and that they no longer have to be angry with each other?

If you listen to music and find WHEN it was written, it is a history book about the emotions of the times..  I wonder if music can also subliminally change the emotions of the times by reminding us of the good things and times in our lives.

I think most humans only eat animals that do not also eat meat.  Therefore, we are all quasi-vegetarians eating PREDIGESTED plants and grains in the form of beef, chicken, pork, and squirrel.

Visit a chicken farm or a stockyard and squirrel will be looking better to eat.  Think about the chemicals and hormones in beef and chicken... Even the feed given to hogs.  I can't even write about what they eat this early in the morning.  Of course, they don't have a choice - they have to eat what the farmer gives them.  Squirrels, wild rabbits, groundhogs eat only healthy and clean foods.

The reason squirrel is not popular to eat is because they are very smart and very difficult to shoot.  Oh, the reason hunters kill animals is because they make too much noise when put in the frying pan alive.

I am not sure where life will take me.  Pop taught me to hunt, fish and how to select wild plants to eat.   I remembered him when kids were lost in a forest, starving, with all kinds of foods all around them.

Last year 6 happiest kids came by all dressed up and one of them was a 6'2" Pooh Bear!  Candy distributed - and I received a treat - a big bear hug! Literally!

For the people who think it is terrible for adults to dress up, well,  maybe they were born old and remained that way.  This man made my day.

At 58 at the shore, I flew a kite for the first time in my life.  I am growing young.  It was wonderful. Plus I could marvel at the design and aerodynamics  of the kite.

So many people act CHILDISH - I don't care for that. -depressing.   BUT, when I see the joy of older people acting CHILDLIKE it is wonderful.

At 61,  I enjoy looking for frogs and salamanders  in puddles  the first days of spring.   I enjoy looking in the nests of birds to see their young.  Playing catch with children or adults.  Going to county fairs and enjoying the rides.  Why should children have all the fun?  Should I be concerned  what "adults" will think of me?  Yep, they are standing there wishing they were home in front of the TV or being on the rides.

I am having fun. Can't wait to go snow boarding - maybe this year I will go down the hill on the board more than on my rear.

A lake beach this last summer - adults sitting together talking depressing subjects or gossiping.  I opted to play and laugh  in the water with the children.  Finally, a couple of the "adults" felt they were missing out on something and joined us.  After all, since one "adult" was doing it, it must be all right.  We had a good time, all happy and tired when going home.

As an adult, I NEED more fun than just going to dinner, a show, computer or TV.  Hey, adults have fun playing games on the computer - no one else sees them doing that.   A "safe" place to have fun.

I just enjoy being here on Earth - in the good times and even the not so good times. My path is to help people to understand that it is all right for everything not to be all right - and how to take care of things.Angel, the poodle, and Ruby, the cat are great teachers, as you can see from the picture. After all, they both accept humans, just as we are!
