Today, November 5, 2008, we wake to find that the honor of every man and woman who has served in any war to preserve liberty has been set at naught. My teeth are set on edge, as though I had bitten into an unripe citrus, or sour grapes. There is a sense of pain, running through my head, that cannot be described. I wish my name was on the Wall, so that I would not have to witness the things that I know will come. I wish I did not know what is coming.

I am not a Prophet or a Seer; I am not a diviner. I would never hold a séance, and I cannot reveal secret details of the future. But still, as a student of History and Scripture, I know what is going to come . . . by what has been . . . by what is written.  It is not about race, but content of character; Alan Keyes or Colin Powell would have been much better candidates.  They possess an integrity this man does not even desire.  It is not about race, but content of character; Alan Keyes or Colin Powell would have been much better candidates.  They possess an integrity this man does not even desire.

The Prophet Daniel, beloved of The Good Lord, recorded a vision with stunning implications: He was told they were visions of the end times. With stunning accuracy, Daniel predicted the progression of Kingdoms that would follow the kingdom of Ancient Babylon, that of Media and Persia, then Greece, then Rome.

Long after that, there will be one who will rise to power, and “He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men and the holy people. He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.”
(Daniel 8:24-25)

Any intellectually honest person must acknowledge that the winning campaign was one of bombastic brainwash and deceit. As though the half truths were not bad enough, the frequency of the message effectively overloaded the senses of all who were not firmly rooted in truth.

You may boo me, shout me down, mock me, persecute me, kill me if you like – it will only silence one human voice. Others who have also received the witness will be speaking out, as well. If you have been putting off settling your commitment, whether or not you will serve the Living God, it is now time.

The Great Kaliem a la Kinzo a la Binzo came to me in a dream last night and said everything will be all right. Relax, and have a pickle.

Well, while it seems as a nightmare and I can't wake up, I know it is prophesy that must be fulfilled.
So the end of times begins. We shall see it, and see it soon.

Prepare for the return of Christ our Lord.

I am looking forward to it. Many will not be happy to see Him.

Vittorio, I can't quite comprehend why you have even commented here.

If you have no faith, why are you hounding the faith blogs?

Satan will come in the last days, and try to steer God's children away fom Him.

That must be you.

What nonsense. May the Lord teach you humility, without which Christianity is not possible -- indeed, the lack of humility among Christians today only contributes to atheism. As one ancient Christian prayer puts it:

Lord and Master of my life! Take from me the spirit of laziness, meddling, lust for power and idle talk.

Instead, grant me, your servant, the spirit of prudence, humility, patience and love.

Yes, my Lord and King! Grant me to see my own fault and refrain from judging others -- for you are blessed now and ever, and for ages and ages. Amen.

And remember the injunction of Scripture everyday over the next four years: pray for those in civil authority and government, so we may lead peaceful and quiet lives in all piety and propriety under their rule (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

1 Timothy 1:3: Some people are teaching false doctrines, and you must order them to stop.
4: Tell them to give up those legends and those long lists of ancestors, which only produce arguments. They do not serve God's plan, which is known by faith.
5: The pupose of this order is to arouse the love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a genuine faith.
8: We know the Law is good if it is used as it should be used.

Oh, I have faith but my beliefs are different and far more basic that yours. I acknowledge and thank our Creator many times daily. I attend a small country Christian church. I have one commandment; as long as it harms none, do what you will.
I have as much faith as all of you, maybe more.

Your arrogance in having no tolerance or respect for my beliefs is, indeed, a sin. Jesus would not behave as you do. End times soon? Bring plenty of ice.

Sensible(?)Joe says: ". . . the lack of humility among Christians today only contributes to atheism."

I think you are incorrect about that; I think it just gives them another excuse in their quest to justify themselves - something that all people do, regardless of their basic faith.

The favorite verse of the unbelieving and unfaithful is Matthew 7:1, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged."  But, I feel compelled to ask you, if I am not injecting personal opinion, but rather exactly quoting Scripture, is it me judging, or God's Word?

"He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.  For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.  I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me."  John 12:48-50

Then, there is another Scripture passage which is totally ignored - if even known - by most who claim we are all bigoted and hateful and arrogant: "Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? If the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts?  Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life?"  (1st Corinthians 6:2-3)

Talk to me Joe.

Wow. I consider that Blasphemy! You presume to speak for our Lord Christ?

Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me." John 14:6.

So show me ANYWHERE in the Bible where it says your life of "one commandment" is acceptable to God. Show me ANYWHERE in the Bible where it says we must have a tolerance or respect for other religions. I won't hold my breath waiting for that!

When speaking of the TEN Commandments, Jesus said:
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, til heaven and earth shall pass, one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law." Matthew 5: 17, 18.

Yes, there are TEN Commandments, that are the LAW! You can't just make up your own.

You are no Christian.

Thanx for calling me young Arky. At 51 it is quite a compliment.

I have an excellent sense of humor also, but I would save it for the Entertainment pages. It does not strike me as funny to make fun of the Bible, and those that believe it is the Word of God.

Hey! How dare you say I'm not a Christian!! Oh, wait; you're right. Blasphemy? Oh, right. Jesus acted just as you do. I forgot.

Geez Ark, I thought he was a kid too. Compared to me he is. Perhaps he'll mature some day.

More stupid nonsense. I am still waiting for you to show me where it says in the Bible you are right.

Oh wait. That would mean actually READING it!

Oh I read it. And the Talmud and the Qu'ran. I don't believe any of them are the word of God but of men, not women but men. That's another bone of contention. Bigots like you are condemned everywhere in the Bible and you know it. Using the Bible as a crutch for your bigotry is the biggest sin of all.

Hey Ark, no more from me here; I'm sure you know why.

What bigotry? You claim to have read the Bible but have yet to quote a single passage to back up your blatant fallacies.

You sir, are full of it!
