Personally, I'm a bit less inclined to give great credence to a story posted by a site with "propaganda" in its domain name. ;-)

We can only hope that this study is onto something. A concerning factor to me is that the biosphere, particularly photosynthetic plants, particularly forests, comprise a major contribution to natural climate moderation, and there has been quite a lot of deforestation in the last few decades.

Any really expensive responses to such an imprecisely suspected threat such as this should be set aside, indefinitely, until and unless the need is (scientifically, not politically) obvious. But we certainly could stand to be less extravagant than we are in consuming resources, and if for no other reason than energy independence, finding new methods of "clean" energy is rather compelling...
