 A THANKFUL THANKSGIVING!

Well folks, Thanksgiving is almost here, and I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!!!

 I know that I ALWAYS  have so very much to be so very thankful for. First of all, I am so very thankful for my wonderful, loving husband of so many years. He works so hard each and every day to make sure we have all the things we need. He has ALWAYS been there for me through out the good, the bad and worst things in life. I thank the Lord each and every day for bringing him into my life!!

 I am also very thankful for my son. He has always been such a sweet and loving person, too. He is always there, ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. He has also always been there for me, my hubby, his friends, or even a stranger that he comes across that might need his help!!  Once again, I thank the Lord each and every day for blessing me and my hubby with such a loving and wonderful son!! Those are the two main things in my life that I am most thankful for.

 I have also recently had a cousin that has just came back into our lives, after being gone for so long and hardly ever heard from. We grew up together, but as it sometimes happens, somehow we later grew apart. He always knew, though, that I would always be there for him. Due to recent circumstances in his life, he has recently returned to us. I let him know, without a doubt, that he was welcomed back with open arms from me, and all of my family. Although, I am sorry for all the things that he has had to go through, I am truly thankful that he has once again returned to our lives.

I just wanted to share with everyone here, all the thing that I am thankful for. As easy as it can be, to take for granted our friends and family, that is the one thing that I try very hard not to let happen. I always hope that I never do, but I am sure that it still happens from time to time.(lol)

As it says in my bio....friends and family make the world a better place!! Please be careful where ever you may travel to this holiday season, and again...I want to wish everyone here a very Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!!       

THAT CRAZY PHONE!!!!

How many times have you been in the middle of doing something, and there goes the phone, just ringing away? This could be the regular home phone or even the cell phone. In this story, it's our home phone.

 The other day, I'm in the middle of trying to trim and clean a chicken I'm trying to make for dinner. My hands are all full of....well, you know how it is when your trying to clean all the fat off of a chicken. There I am...on a roll...moving along just fine, when....RING....RING!!! UGH!!! MY HANDS...QUICK...WASH THESE HANDS!!...OK...hands washed and dried. Phone still ringing....made it!!! I pick it up and answer it, and....OH....MY....GOSH!!!! You mean I just stopped everything I was doing, just to listen to a sales person trying to sell me something?!?!  You've GOTTA be kidding me!! As much as I hate to admit it, I gave him an ear full of CLICK!! I hung up on the guy and unplugged the phone for the rest of the evening, until I went to bed. I know, some people would have just ignored the ringing. I don't know why...but for some reason, that just doesn't work for me. That ringing just gets to me if I don't answer it. Then, I'm left wondering to myself...who could that have been?!? Now...I've decided to make things a little easier on myself. Just before I begin to start getting dinner ready....UNPLUG THAT PHONE!!!! LOL. I might as well turn off that cell phone too, while I'm at it. I've already had it go off a few times while I'm in the middle of making dinner or washing dishes. What's your crazy phone stories? Please feel free to share them. Well, it's been one day that we've  had to change the clocks yet again for the Daylight Savings  Time. I was just wondering how it affected any of you, and in what way? Did any of you forget to set those clocks? I know some friends that I talked with were lucky enough to have the clocks that automatically change. We remembered to set our clocks, but oh....I felt like I was litreally dragging myself every where we went!! I know it's always hard for most people to get used to those first few days of the time change. So, how did everyone else do with the first day of Daylight Savings Time?

MY HALLOWEEN STORY

One year, when our son was still very young, we took our son to go trick or treating. He was all dressed up as one of his favorite cartoon characters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We had already gone to several homes and was close to working our way back home. We had decided to go ahead and stop at maybe a couple of more homes, then head on home ourselves. We came to this one house that had several people in the front, so we waited for the crowd to thin out a little, it didn't take too long. The lady that was handing out candy at this particular home kept telling the kids to come on in, which I believe she had meant as, come on in onto her front porch, so she could hand out the candy. All the kids were taking the candy and leaving, so the next group could come up and collect theirs. We finally made our way up to the porch, and she was still telling everyone to "Come on in". I was shocked and shaken at what happened next!! There was someone standing at her front door, with the door wide open. Next thing I knew, my son had just simply walked into their house and the person standing there just let him walk on by!! Without even a thought, I started calling out for my son and went quickly into their house. They must have been having a Halloween party, because there were lots of people inside. Thankfully, he hadn't made it too far into the house, he was standing close by the front door. WHEW!!!! Was I glad I found him right away!!!  I apologized to everyone for just running into their home like that, but they understood and just thought it was cute at what my son had done. That night I hugged my son tighter and held him closer than I probably ever did before. When we returned home, I had a little Mother to son talk to him about the dangers of doing such a thing. I'm sure it was all just a matter of confusion with all the people there, and the lady yelling to "Come on in". I tell this story now, and can laugh about it, but it was definitely no laughing matter at the time....Parents, please remember to keep your eyes wide open when taking your kids trick or treating this Friday. Thank goodness my story had a happy ending, but thinking back on it....there are so many different ways my story could have ended.

VACUUM CLEANERS FROM A CATS VIEW

This appaling beast is known by many names, "Cat Eater" being the most prevalent. Humans will turn into raging monsters while under it's influence. Sucking up all the carefully shed cat hair and terrorizing the feline residents with evil glee. All you can do is run and hide. Occasionally, the humans are forced to open the vacuum cleaner and remove a swollen bag from within. This is it's stomach, and must be destroyed at all costs. Do not worry if the human yells at you, for the yell is really that of the beast in pain.
