Bugs's Blog

I’ve been staying away from the politics of the FOX4 blog mostly because, when discussing politics, a lot of members become so uncivilized.  Besides, with the current state of our country and Sen. McCain’s inability to win, the Republicans have successfully eliminated the need for left wing rhetoric; dang.

The right-wingers are still hard at work banging their heads against brick walls and I do admire their commitment to what’s right OR wrong.

In any debate or cordial discussing, the first person to sway from the subject and resort to personal attacks is the loser.

If politics were a debate, Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are definitely the losers.

Republican nastiness is everywhere. A.M. talk show airways are filled with hours of right wing infomercials regurgitating conservative barf; candidates are already whining and trying to blame the media for their inevitable demise, and supporters of Sen. McCain are spreading fear, lies, and mountains of misinformation.

Three weeks of petty personal assaults is proving to be self defeating if not catastrophic for the Republican Party.  Almost simultaneous with the Sen. McCain’s jump in the mud, a huge percentage of undecided voters decided to vote for Sen. Obama.

Examining individual backgrounds and beliefs of supporters of either party is a duel edged sword especially for the Republicans. No doubt, along with large numbers of upstanding middle class Americans who support the Democratic Party, many liberal radicals support the Democratic Party.

On the other hand, standing side by side with the dwindling number of Americans who still support the Republican Party is every white supremacist in America.

The right to be who we are and support whomever we choose is a right which should not be scrutinized or held against those candidates we support.  Most pundits say the Republicans are lashing out in desperation; desperate times call for desperate measures even if those measures are aimed at dividing and weakening a country in need of becoming stronger.

More so than ever, the right wing machine of the Republican Party is being greased by white supremacists, radical fundamentalists, the extremely wealthy, and idiots who think Sen. Obama is an Arab.  Politics create odd bedfellows and form unthinkable, dangerous alliances. Such is the case of the modern day Republican Party.

To make matters worse, the Republican Party was in such a rush to nominate a token woman for Vice President, they neglected to take into consideration all of Gov. Palin’s failures and faults.  Her ignorance has essentially buried the Republican Party’s run for the White House.

I find it very disturbing that Palin is being nailed to the cross for her dealings. Yet people seem to turn away when asked to acknowledge that Obama has had and still does have affiliations with people that most would agree are seriously crazy people who hate our country. They despise our democracy and seek to destroy it. You are not safe just because you vote for him, oh no. You will stripped of your freedoms too and then as we stand in the bread line together, doctors, layers, sex offenders, plumbers, teachers, convicted felons, murders, rapist, soldiers, mothers, fathers and children, then you will get it.

I’m not saying that each candidate’s character should not be questioned. OF COURSE IT SHOULD. So stop being hypocrites and saying that when Republicans want to talk about Obama and his past that were racist or crazy. Give me a break. Let’s hang everyone’s dirty laundry out and we can elect a president knowing hey, this is who they are, where they have been, what they have done, OK. I can live or not live with that. Crucifying any candidate without offering the same scrutiny to another is just BS. Maybe that’s why Democrats are buying Obama’s bull because he has done such a good job pointing the attention in the other direction people forgot to find out anything about him. That’s what the enemy does you know. They distract you then attack you.

People are great! I love animals. Humor is very important as are tolerance and compassion. The “Golden Rule’ is good and “There but for the grace of God go I,” is true. My faith defines who I am as a person. I always learn a lot more when I’m listening than when I’m talking. Sometimes my humor and fingers run ahead of my brain so if I ever personally offend anyone, please smack me upside the head and tell me so. One of my all time favorite quotes is from the television show “Frasier”. “Civilization's not going to progress one iota unless someone points out when peoples' manners are remiss.” Daphne Moon. If I had to choose a movie which most paralleled my life, I’d be torn between Prince’s “Purple Rain” and “Forest Gump”. "Feather" from "Forest Gump" and "Purple Rain" are the theme songs posted on my "about me" page at my website. My life has been a wild and adventurous ride filled with laughter, pain, glamour, heartache, and joy. From one minute to the next, life never seems to be the same as the day before. I’m the epitome of narcissism and try to remain humble. Feel free to comment at any time, just, in the words of a popular blogger, “keep it real”. I’m here to have fun; please do the same.
