I'm watching something on TV about the recent car bombings in London, and this one British reporter talking to a Muslim radical about what he thinks... and the man's trying to justify the senseless murder of innocent people on a subway.

Now, don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with anyone who practices Islam--none at all. But no matter if it's a Muslim, Christian, atheist, or someone who worships dogs, I still thinks it's deplorable to murder anyone. And I find it strange that it's supposedly for "holy war" or something. At this point my opinion probably matters very little, but it sounds more like a spiritual war where you would try to minister or something to non-believers verses a literal war that involves killing. Besides, doesn't almost every religion have some sort of commandment not to kill...?

I suppose I'm just really nervous about this in general, but even more so since I'm going to Germany in a few days, and I'm really scared now that someone's going to try and blow up the airport or plane my family's going to be in during the brief hours we're staying there between flights.

Naive as it sounds... well... what's the point of any of that? What kicks do they get from murdering? I feel horrible if I think someone's mad at me at work... I can't imagine how anyhow can fall asleep at night with someone else's blood--or life--on their hands.

One has to wonder why some experimental man in China thought a car product would go great with toothpaste. It won't exactly leave a minty-fresh taste.

That's my thought for the day.

I'm seventeen years old, living as a full-time student, part-time worker, but I'm ALWAYS awesome. :] My passion is writing, my second love is drawing--I tend to express myself far better in writing than I do when I speak. Instead of being spoon-fed everything, I do have my own opinions, and I despise it when someone tries to change them, or invalidates them because I'm younger than they are. I'm registered as a Republican so I can vote, but I honestly wouldn't consider myself any particular party. I'm for gay marriage but pro-life, amongst many mixings of being liberal and conservative. I'm a confection of contradictions, but refuse to hide it all under a facade.
