It's a real shame that this advertisement would go on the popular social networking site MySpace.com. The Onion has some really funny stuff on their site. But this crosses the line in my opinion. Are there even lines anymore?
Just when you think that the Cardinals are going to officially go down the toilet, they pull out some pretty big wins to take the series in Oakland. Granted, this isn't the same Oakland team that used to feature some pretty prolific young starters, but it is nonetheless a series win against a formidable A's opponent.
Hell, I'll take a series win in whatever way possible, especially in inter-league play. Those AL fans are such snobs. I hate getting in arguments with them. I'm surprised they don't just have somebody come in and argue their points for them. You know, kind of like the DH does for pitchers. Ooooh, burn.
I kinda got off-topic. I want to focus on the Cards and not American League fans. So we're officially 6 and 1/2 out of first place. Not bad considering how bad we've stunk. But the bats seem to be coming alive a bit more, and our bullpen has been surprisingly solid. So I think we're going to take this weak NL Central division again. Carpenter and Mulder coming back healthy would help us out a ton and could put us in place for another October run.
What I most want to see, though, is at least one big deal by Jocketty...I'll save that for another time.
This is a clip from the oft-forget children's show Kids Inc. The singer is none other than Rahsaan Patterson.
