The Loop premiered their second season last night. I have to come right out and say it, I was a little disappointed. I loved the first season and bought it as soon as it came out on DVD. However, this second season has lost the quality of the first, as well as 2 main characters.

Russ seems wilder and crazier than he was before, even though I see the humor, it seems very cheap.

Derek seems to be a regular character now. Granted, there's only been 2 episodes so far, but last season he was only in 2 episodes. His scenes are rather long and annoying, last year they were short and hilarious.

Sam seems more outgoing and not as shy. It was rather funny when he did the clinical study and was in an anger rage. When he called Russ the b word, I totally lost it.

I'm not quite sure why they decided to work racist comments and jokes into the script, but they did. I laughed, cringed, and said "That's so wrong," every time.

Darcy seems to be appearing more. I won't complain about that, I think she's super cute.

Sully is as great as ever.

My biggest complaint is that they totally changed what the show is about. It used to be about Sam struggling to keep his friends/party life going while keeping ahead at work. I've seen no home life except when he ran home to get a package and nothing bad even happened.

Don't worry, I've not given up hope. I will continue to watch the 8 remaining episodes.

All I have to say is, more zipline, please.

I treated myself to a movie this weekend. I love Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, The 40 Year Old Virgin, and basically anything else that has Seth Rogen in it. Yes, even in Donnie Darko he was obscenely hilarious. 

Knocked Up was all around a good movie. Sure, I'm a bit biased, I love Steven Karp (Jay Baruchel), Bill (Martin Starr), and Nick (Jason Segel), although I'm not sure if I liked him better as Eric or not. Oh, how could I forget about Josh (Paul Rudd (I)). But, Judd Apatow, I love you. And if you keep making movies like you have been, I will love you forever.

As per IMDB:
"Slobby Ben and up and coming career girl Alison meet at a bar, and end up having a one night stand. Eight weeks later, Ben is shocked when Alison meets him and reveals that she is pregnant. Despite having little in common, the two decide that they have to at least try to make some kind of relationship work for the baby's sake."

I really want to write and tell you all about this movie, but I'd rather not saying anything more than what the plot summary has summarized. I can say this. It is hilarious. And don't go because Ebert and Roeper gave it two thumbs up, go because Stever gave it two thumbs up.

I love starting new blogs. A clean slate is very inviting. In today's society, it is rather easy to get caught up in the redundancy of time. It's nice to get a fresh start. It's nice to take part in new beginnings.

 The "new" fad of reality TV, personal computers, iPods and MySpace make us all feel independent, whole, and on our own. But, this sense of freedom we derive from these "new" fads seems quite ridiculous when you consider you're doing the same as millions of others. Maybe that's missing the point. It's not that everyone else is doing it, it's that it's personal. It's you. It's me. It's this blog. It's not the blog personally, but me blogging my thoughts and feelings.

You don't know me, and I don't know you. But we're connected through the World Wide Web. Does that mean this is less personal? No and yes. I am here to bare my soul and share my experiences, to blog about my thoughts, desires and dreams, to open myself up to millions of people who care enough to click "read more". I can't see you, touch you, or even smell you. But, I can connect with you; and to me, that's more important.

 I'd love to learn about you and from you. I hope you think the same of me.
