I love starting new blogs. A clean slate is very inviting. In today's
society, it is rather easy to get caught up in the redundancy of time. It's
nice to get a fresh start. It's nice to take part in new beginnings.
The "new" fad of reality TV, personal
computers, iPods and MySpace make us all feel
independent, whole, and on our own. But, this sense of freedom we derive from
these "new" fads seems quite ridiculous when you consider you're
doing the same as millions of others. Maybe that's missing the point. It's not that
everyone else is doing it, it's that it's personal. It's you. It's me.
It's this blog. It's not the blog personally, but me blogging my thoughts and
feelings.
You don't know me, and I don't know you. But we're connected through the World Wide Web. Does
that mean this is less personal? No and yes. I am here to bare my soul and
share my experiences, to blog about my thoughts, desires and dreams, to open
myself up to millions of people who care enough to click "read more". I can't see you, touch you, or even
smell you. But, I can connect with you; and to me, that's more important.
I'd love to learn about you and from you. I hope you think the same of me.
