So let me get this straight, Mizzou Football loses two games all year (to the same team); they beat Illinois in the first game of the year; they beat Kansas in the last regular season game of the year and they get passed over for a BCS Bowl.

Illinois has three losses (and if the Big Ten had had a Conference Title game, they wouldn't have gone).  Kansas has only 1 loss, (which was to Missouri) and they don't play in their Conference Title Game, yet both of those teams go to BCS bowls.

C'mon, that's ridiculous!  Now, I'm a big time Big Ten fan and I always root for the Big Ten to play well in Bowl Games, but Missouri should be playing in one of the BCS games.

How do you go from #1 in the country to not even playing for one of the elite games?

Something stinks!  I'd love to read your thoughts.

I agree with your thoughts on Kansas but as far as the Illini go...the people want a traditional Rose Bowl!!! And the people got what they want. Now, we'll just have to watch one of the greatest upsets in Rose Bowl history.

I agree that the Rose Bowl committee wanted a traditional Pac 10 / Big 10 matchup for the Rose Bowl.

Because the BCS rules state that only two teams from a particular conference can get in, I'm not questioning why Illinois is in. NO other Big Ten team deserved to get in.

However, why is Mizzou left out and Kansas is in? Kansas didn't have to play Oklahoma (let alone twice). Kansas didn't play any of the Big 12 South's best teams. They had an easy schedule and because they didn't lose in the Big 12 Conf game, they get rewarded with a bigger payout in a BCS game.

Just seems a little unfair...but hey, life is unfair!
