Have You Forgotten? By: Darryl Worley

I hear people saying we don't need this war
But, I say there's some things worth fighting for
What about our freedom and this piece of ground
We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down
They say we don't realize the mess we're getting in
Before you start your preaching let me ask you this my friend

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

They took all the footage off my T.V.
Said it's too disturbing for you and me
It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it everyday
Some say this country's just out looking for a fight
Well, after 9/11 man I'd have to say that's right

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell
And we vowed to get the one’s behind bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

I've been there with the soldiers
Who've gone away to war
And you can bet that they remember
Just what they're fighting for

Have you forgotten all the people killed?
Yeah, some went down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field
Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?
All the loved ones that we lost and those left to carry on
Don't you tell me not to worry about bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?

This is the real reason why we should remember and to thank the troops that are fighting for the greatest country in the world, The United States Of America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Remember Our Troops! Happy Memorial Day!*

I haven't forgotten, but apparently the Bush Administration has. 9/11 Nine-Eleven had NOTHING to do with Iraq. As Scott McClellan the president's ex-press secretary has stated in his new book. The march to war in Iraq was unnecessary and based on Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfield's own intimate plans. I haven't forgotten that Osama Bin Laden is still on the loose and still making tapes. I haven't forgotten the soldiers who have laid down their lives, for a president's ego. I watched as Bush laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier, knowing he is the reason all have died, just for his ego. Hell no, I haven't forgotten and the voters won't either. We need to go back to the day where they execute criminals for war crimes. I haven't forgotten, have you?

I have not forgotten. Never will!

I am sure Poppa Bush is so proud. Little george finished my unfinished business. When you have money. All that is left to increase will be ego (well said MM) and the desire and quest for more power and control.

I was told by a man from Honduras prior to 911 that many viewed the Bush family as warriors.
There is much validity in that statement

I do thank and remember the troops...everyone of them. I live it and think of them everyday. I do thank the families that have raised their kids in such a manner they feel the obligation to volunteer and serve our country and sometimes the insane leadership of our nation.

Though this was never about catching Bin Laden. That so stated desire only promoted the overall Bush and Buddies Plan.

There are plenty of these type plans on the shelf. The biggest single thing about them is having the patience to wait for an opportunity to implement them.

Thank You to all of our military, passed, past and present.

Well put, MM and HH--for once, I don't think I have anything to add.

Hey everyone! I am an avid weather fan and I am planning on becoming a Meteorologist one day. I am 21 yrs. old and I attend a local Community College where I'm working on my Associate in Science degree. I am planning on transfering to another college after a couple more years to study Meteorology. I graduated from a Christian School in 2005. On our Senior trip, we took a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. It was awesome! I would love to back! I was in the NHS, student gov't, and Journalism class at my high school.
