I think Texas needs to ban big trucks from driving in the left lane. If the entire right side of the truck is nothing but a blind spot what the heck are they doing in the left lane to begin with?

People using cells phones forget they are driving. Come up to a car doing 45 in a 60 zone, 9 out of 10 times the person is yammering on the phone. I cringe when I come to a stop in rush hour traffic and the person behind me is paying more attention to the phone conversation than the stopped traffic.

I car pooled with a woman one time, it was the scariest ride of my life. She would go to the left lane and do just under the posted speed and dare the other drivers to rear end her. She thought it was a big joke. Play that game by yourself.

We'll to understand these Yahoos out on the road, you have to understand a little bit of phychology. I am no doctor, I barely graduated high school, but I have driven over a million miles in four wheelers and on two wheelers, and a lot of them right here in Dallas.

The particular Yahoo that you are refering to is known as the " lane squatter ", and more specifically, " the hammer lane squatter ". They are just about as selfish and self centered as the non signaling lane swerver's, lane drifter's, and oppotunistic gap rusher's out there. They probably had a terrible childhood because they obviously were not brought up properly. They obviously had no direction and were not taught any manners whatsoever. These poor underprividged little scallions are more commonly reffered to as a " son of a b_t_h " or a " f_c_i_g i_i_t_c b_t_h " if female, and accurately so.

Well, these opportunistic, lane hogging, non caring, hammer lane squatting Yahoo's have an agenda over there and it does not have a thing to do with you or me. Are you ready for this one? They are riding over there with the thought that it is much safer (just for them of course). They don't have to worry about anyone entering on their right or cutting accross in front of them to exit, causing them to slam on their brakes. All they have to worry about is the HOV and that is'nt too much of a threat to them. We'll, now you know what they are thinking. They don't even know what a hammer lane is much less what it means to hammer down.

Did you ever think that some of four wheelers where truck drivers. The Traffic situation in the Metroplex is everyones concern. Lets not be pointing fingers at other people on the roadway. You yourselfs drive a 4-wheeler. I had a Brother of mine that was killed by a truck driver on a freeway. So don't even start. Don't even go there. My Dad God rest his soul never forgave the company that the truck driver worked for. My Dad was a truck Driver himself. Line haul Driver. You out there some that do not know how to drive a big rig that give the truckers a bad name.

Also watch for the new radar gun. Cause their out there giving out tickets to people that are following to close. Not for speeding, but following to close on the posted speed you must be so many feet behind the vehicle in front of you, or if your spacing is less the Police will pull you over. Cite you for following too close. So keep your eyes open for these rolling kodak radar guns that also compute when a vhicle is too close behind the vehicle in front of them. Ticket Ticket Ticket. Ops there goes your priesous driving record without a ticket. Now not do you have to watch the speed. Now you have to watch how close you are to the vehicle in front of you. Better get them math books out tonight anf start studying proper distance.

OMG!!! someone agrees with me!!! 18 wheelers, okay I understand you don't wanna stay in the right lane b/c of exiting and entering traffic... so stay in the middle lane-jerks- if you're passing , then freaking pass, but to get in the left lane just to drive the same speed!!! URGH!!!!!!! wanna know what else URKS me- when there are 2 lanes to enter a highway (190E to 35N) and some dummy sits in the right lane with no one in front of them for 1/2 a mile because they don't want anyone ahead of them... HEY STUPID. there are 2 lanes for a reason, no one is stopping you from driving up to the end of the lane- we might want to get home to spend quality time with the familt, but instead your making us upset because you're stupid!!! you're causing most of the traffic out there!!! I moved here from another city, not quite as big, but have never seen such selfish- disrespectful people in my LIFE!!! BTW, my momma taught me to stay out of the blind spots and respect those big rig drivers, so there than their speed in the left lane, I have no qualms: whew, I feel better thanks

FIRST OF ALL I TOTALLY AGREE THAT THE LEFT LANE SHOULD BE FOR PASSING ONLY, HOWEVER IF YOU ARE GOING TO INSIST ON THIS BECAUSE IT IS THE LAW.....THEN YOU SHOULD ALSO REMEMBER THAT THE SPEED LIMIT IS THE LAW....YA CAN'T INSIST THAT THE LEFT LANE LAW BE OBEYED, BUT IF YOU ARE A SPEEDER... YOU DON'T HAVE TO OBEY THE SPEED LIMIT LAW.

I agree, keep 18 wheelers and slow drivers out of the left lane. If Dallas does not do something soon it will be total gridlock.(or total war).
