Pathetic, dirty hypocrites...

It doesn't matter where I look--up, down, on television, in the newspaper, or even in MENSA--but there are a lot of ignorant, hypocritical people in this world.  In my daily life, I often come across these people, sometimes several per day.  The professional boundaries in place usually keep me from being able to say what's truly on my mind.  It's a shame really, because my most accomplished skill is criticizing others.  I enjoy it.  It's what I do best.  But don't get your panties in a knot, I just don't go criticizing any poor schmuck off the street.  Sure, every once in awhile I'll let somebody have it simply because I'm in a bad mood or having a bad day.  I probably do this sometimes because it gives me some kind of temporary relief from my poor mood, as many of us occasionally do, and then we feel bad afterwards.  On the other hand, most of the people I criticize bring it on themselves, with their ridiculous thoughts/ideas/comments/beliefs that are based on pure selfishness.  If for no other reason, these self-serving hypocrites deserve the criticism because they make a career out of criticizing everyone else.  These people make money by being @#!$.  Well, I just so happen to be nice enough to be an @#!$ for free, so I'm going to let it fly on this blog for those people who I believe deserve it.

The first dirty, rotten, self-serving, @#!$ hypocrite that I'm going to steamroll with ridicule is a ditzy little number named MeMe Roth, the founding president of the National Action Against Obesity (NAAO), established in 2006.  As if her first name doesn't give away how self-serving this piece of trash is, perhaps the NAAO's mission, as stated on its website, will give some insight into her selfishness.

NAAO:  "Through education, legislation, and most importantly—parental action—National Action Against Obesity works independently and as a consultancy to reverse the obesity epidemic by eliminating ‘fake foods’ from the food supply,..."

Post-Unselfish Analysis Translation:  "I couldn't control how much junk food I allowed myself to eat.  As a result, I'm going to put a negative label on those foods and try to take them away from everyone else so I don't have to struggle with my compulsive eating anymore."

Not a good start at all, MeMe.  Please, pray tell, what exactly is a "fake food?"  If it's so fake, then why are you worried about it?  If a food is truly "fake," then how could it possibly lead to obesity?  What determines which foods are real and which foods are fake?  I'm willing to bet that you would consider a rice cake to be "real food," but a piece of delicious chocolate cake would likely be considered "fake" by you.  When your chronically depressed and anxious child is sitting over her birthday rice cake with yogurt frosting, do you really wonder why she's not happy?

On with the NAAO's Mission Statement:  "...barring junk food from schools,..."

Post-Unselfish Analysis Translation:  "I had weight problems when I was a kid, and other kids saw me uncontrollably sucking down snack after snack all day long.  So they made fun of me, and that just led me to eat more.  I had a problem, but I didn't want to admit it to myself.  Now that I'm an adult, I still don't have to admit it to myself because I can BLAME THE VENDING MACHINES!"

Having a patsy doesn't eradicate your problem, MeMe.

NAAO Mission Statement continued:  "...and eradicating Secondhand Obesity™ (obesity handed down from one generation to the next, as well as from citizen to citizen),..."

Post-Unselfish Analysis Translation:  "I'm going to trademark terminology so that I can suck money out of people and make others feel guilty for accepting others as they are."

This is where my bull @#!$ detector and my hatred for MeMe Roth started running wild.  Nothing like an organization posing as non-for-profit that trademarks terminology.  Anyone else think that MeMe Roth is likely writing a book about "Secondhand Obesity" right now?

Final Part of the NAAO Mission Statement:  "...while encouraging exercise across all ages. Success relies upon wholly re-imagining what the U.S. population considers “normal” food consumption and “normal” exercise. When the majority is overweight, America cannot be normal."

Oh, MeMe... "normal" is actually a descriptor of those who follow the status quo.  To be "normal," a person must be doing and saying that which is the accepted standard at the time.  The accepted standard at this time is that many people like to eat delicious chocolate cake with REAL frosting rather than rice cakes and whole wheat pasta.  We like our hormone-soaked beef, egg yolks, Coca-Cola, and fois gras.  People who don't like these things don't have to eat them, much like I don't have to suck down one of those unfilling, bone-dry rice cakes.  MeMe's actions are the inverse of normalcy--the epitomy of abnormality, because she is going against the currently accepted standard.

Thus, it is conclusive that MeMe Roth is a dirty, snobby, ignorant, hypocritical, abnormal piece of trash.  Only a person with these attributes could seriously think about boycotting the Girl Scouts of America (for selling cookies), boycott the middle-aged and up woman's magazine "Redbook" for encouraging women to be happy with their bodies, and criticize the marketing of Shrek, of all things.  Surely, the people who are paying for MeMe to whine could find something better to do with their money than attempting to oust Shrek from the limelight.

FYI, MeMe.  When your doctor told you to go to the living room instead of the kitchen when you were having a bad day, he didn't mean come to my living room.  Live your own life and stop trying to make decisions for everyone else.
