Robbing   The Mayor of His Civil Rights?  Now I've seen it all.  A group of Mayor Kilpatrick supporters "marched" in the Detroit Labor Day Parade.  With papa Bernard Kilpatrick  smack in the middle remarking."The mayor is being denied his civil Rights".  What a travesty.  First of all.  This is a union town where historically, lives were risked in the fight  to defend worker's rights.  What does Kwame Kilpatrick's  10 felony indictments have to do with labor?  And secondly, What civil rights have been denied  him?  Next he'll be in the Thanksgiving parade as the "great Pumpkin".  I can't wait until Granholm or Worthy or some great natural force rolls this turkey and his emty tee-shirts (supporters) out of town to Jackson Michigan.

Now that it has been confirmed that Monica Conyers is a barroom brawling bully  let's show her out the door right after Mayor Kilpatrick.  If he is removed from office Ken Cockrel becomes mayor AND you-know-who ? becomes council president! yikes!  Where in the world did this woman come from anyway?  I never heard of her until she married John Conyers.  I bet he is really appreciating the boost she's giving to all his years of public service.  Does anyone know if there is a recall petition started?.

Detroiter currently living in Las Vegas because of health. I really miss Detroit and my hometown news. I am a former activist. I am a Catholic I worked at organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life. I am a liberal I miss the riverfront (water of any kind living in the desert).I can't believe that my beautiful city has suffered at the hands of self-serving politicians who feign concern yet continue shameless activities. I am still a homeowner, pay taxes and vote(responsibly). I was duped into voting for Mayor Kilpatrick the first time he ran. I thought he held so much new life and promise. I was wrong. However, after that mistake I knew that Detroit was in for a bad trip. I think we can restore pride and dignity if we become more diligent in our research and observation of candidates for both mayor and city-council.. It seems our bright spot is Kym Worthy. I forgot to add I am a graduate of Immaculata High and Marygrove College.
