mystere's big mouth

Here's to a journalist who had the integrity to be real and honest.  Many of us have watched Fox News Sunday since the beginning, and remember the friendly manner Tony Snow displayed, whether he agreed with his guests, or not.  Now what some people may not realize is this:  Tony  Snow was a man of faith.   He lived his faith out publicly by always trying to be a gentleman, even if he disagreed with the guest.   Prior to Fox's launching of Fox News Sunday, I had the opportunity to hear my former radio colleague Jane Chastain interview Tony Snow on the happenings of the Clinton White House.  While Snow disagreed with the policies and the antics of the Clintons, he would report the things he saw while covering his Washington beat with class and respect.  Snow had the fear of God instilled within him, and knew that when the time came for him to meet his maker (July 11, 2008), he would be rewarded for his deeds, and how he treated everyone he encountered while on this earth.  So Tony:  well done faithful servant!  Enter into the Glory of God's presence and His joy!  Rest in His Peace my good brother, and we will all see you when our times come!  See you again !

Ibejim,

I just deleted some clown who thinks he could spew his sewage on my blog...you are right about Tony Snow.

And to Sebar:

If you saw what Bush Is A Liar wrote, I dumped that clown like a dump button for an on air comment...no one should have to tolerate his monkey business.

Liar...don't you ever use my blog to trash other bloggers! These folks are mostly repectable people. If you want to say something, start your own blog, and have the guts to take some heat!

Thanks for the support, but I made my statement originally on that topic and I stand by what I stated. As for BIAL if he or she is breaking the blog rules then its up to admins to enforce those. As for me, I really honestly ignore any harassing posts and just tend to my work especially my literary works. I am almost too busy at times to really blog and have much on my plate, health permitting, to accomplish before my time is up. Thanks anyhow and remember its just exchanging ideas and text and that is it. Hopefully people leave it at that and tend to their lives as that real life and living are what is more important.

Hate to say it, but I was not a big fan of Tony Snow. He went from a legitimate and respectable news anchor to a pathetic spokeshole for the Bush administration (willingly).

The moment my mind really changed about Tony was when a man asked him about border agents Ramos and Campean and a possible pardon from their unjust imprisonment.

Tony was caught off guard and gave an unscripted response. Basically he began to laugh at the question and heckled the man for asking. Really revealed his true nature.

But that wasn't the end. The man asked again, this time asking why the Bush administration would falsely imprison two American heroes. Tony basically shut off the microphone, stopped the questioning and would not continue until the man was physically removed from the building (and probably arrested).

I've looked everywhere to find this audio but it seems to be a rare commodity these days. Hope that God can forgive Tony for the evil part he played in helping to ruin the lives of two great men, their wives, their children, their relatives and America in general.

Tony was a smiling face that hid an evil man.

Admittedly, like all of us, Tony did have his weaknesses, but overall, he did try to be a gentleman. I heard him up close and personal when Jane Chastain interviewed him back around 1998, and when my current colleague Paul McGuire had him as a guest...after Snow became Press Secretary. So many things have surfaced beyond his control, and likely that guy who questioned Snow may have been the last straw that broke the camel's back with a bunch of crazy things going on around him. Who knows what happened earlier in the day before the event?

I like President Bush. I don't know much about Mr Snow but I do think that the man died and we should pay our respect to his life. It does seem like the worst use of our freedom to judge a man after the final judgement of this sometimes horrible human exsistance falls upon one of us.

No... Death is a time to honor a man or a woman for the good that they did do. And amoungst those hurt by the life of someone who dies there should be the very real and human realization that we too have hurt others.

No... I was alittle miffed at first at the media accolades for the man and thought it went on and on. But aparently it was not without good reason. Tony Snow led a life that I admire with an attitude I aspire to have. And I'm glad today to watch as the media shares that life with us. Good journey to you Tony Snow... thanks for living.

Even though I don't agree with his political views I must say that Tony Snow was quite the gentleman. I was so sad to hear that he passed away over the weekend.

Tony Snow, may you rest in peace.

I will miss Tony Snow. He was a good man and is loved by many of us and that includes me.

Thank-You mystere for making such a thoughtful post memorial for the kind, all American gentleman, Tony Snow.

I will see you in Heaven too.

The guy was arrogant, pompous, bias and in the end BUSH's lying mouth piece. A disgrace to legit journalists everywhere. He is now dead. Fine with me.

Oh Mickie...please prove it! I dare you to go to this site: Jane Chastain Politically Direct, then make a comment on Tony Snow, if she has one posted! She'll eat you for lunch! But you are free to post what you want about what you think of Tony Snow.

Too bad you didn't have any contact with Snow personally. At least I had a connection, and have found him to be just the opposite of what you said. He always tried to be respectful to others, no matter what.

I'm a life long North Orange County California resident. I work behind the scenes in radio, and I understand the pressures that the folks at Fox 11 and My 13 news go through to do a live show professionally. I don't like it when politicians try to make our government bigger than it is now. I oppose many of the things the Democrats are doing, because in my thoughts, they are selling out the public to nothing but garbage. In other areas, I'm an Anaheim Angels fan. McCain/Palin 2008! Obama's in for a "caining"!
