Suicide? Why? What happened? These are just some of the things the public is now wondering about with the news that LAPD delivered this weekend. Some are wondering why Japanese businessman Kazuyoshi Miura took his own life when he got extradited to the United States to stand trial for the murder of his wife in 1981. While many of the experts have no answers as to why Miura committed suicide, there is a cultural difference which has not been addressed, which may be a clue as to why Miura committed suicide.
Before I go any further, let me be straight forward here: I do not condone murder including suicde, nor do I condone getting away with any criminal act. What Miura did was heinous, and he did go through a trial in Japan for it, under an agreement with the United States.
Now the experts here saw no reason to believe that Miura would take his own life. However, Miura was able to mask any signs that he would take his own life, partially due to differences between American and Japanese culture. I have learned from members of my community, the Japanese American community, that Japanese and Japanese American men tend to bottle up their feelings, and not expose them to others at all costs. I learned about this from Japanese American counselors and Japanese American religious leaders in my community. Other Asian Americans seem to have similar family patterns.
Miura likely felt insulted when Japanese authorities told him that he would be extradited to the United States to stand trial, when he had already gone through a trial in Japan for the murder of his wife. He likely held back his frustrations, then made sure the authorities would not suspect that he would take his own life. Miura likely thought it would be more honorable to take his own life, rather than be a burden to the society while in prison for life. This is something that no one could have forseen. In Japan, if one thinks his character is insulted,, it can be devastating enough to the point that he will take his own life for even a small thing.
Now please don't think that I condone what Miura did. I don't condone Miura's actions. However, I believe that Miura should have faced his murder trial here instead of Japan; things may have turned out differently, had he been tried here.

Here's to a journalist who had the integrity to be real and honest. Many of us have watched Fox News Sunday since the beginning, and remember the friendly manner Tony Snow displayed, whether he agreed with his guests, or not. Now what some people may not realize is this: Tony Snow was a man of faith. He lived his faith out publicly by always trying to be a gentleman, even if he disagreed with the guest. Prior to Fox's launching of Fox News Sunday, I had the opportunity to hear my former radio colleague Jane Chastain interview Tony Snow on the happenings of the Clinton White House. While Snow disagreed with the policies and the antics of the Clintons, he would report the things he saw while covering his Washington beat with class and respect. Snow had the fear of God instilled within him, and knew that when the time came for him to meet his maker (July 11, 2008), he would be rewarded for his deeds, and how he treated everyone he encountered while on this earth. So Tony: well done faithful servant! Enter into the Glory of God's presence and His joy! Rest in His Peace my good brother, and we will all see you when our times come! See you again !

Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

During a show in Canecio (Rio de Janeiro), while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: "God, that's for you."
He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner.
The man who built the Titanic
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: "Not even God can sink it". The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.
Marilyn Monroe (Actress)
She was visited by Billy Graham duringa presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: "I don't need your Jesus." A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.
Bon Scott (Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang: "Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell." On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.
Campinas (IN 2005)
In Campinas Brazil, a group of friends, drunk, wento to pick up a friend..... The mother accompnied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: "My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You." She responded: "Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here.....It's Already Full." Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken.
Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer) said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written. In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.
Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

You've now read it...just beware of how you respond to this: God knows what's on your heart. He knows your true intentions, whether you believe in Him or not. You can refer some people to this blog as part of your 8 people, or pass it on to others. Think seriously about it.
Someone's nerves got hit hard by a golf ball sized joke. It seems like a few high profile people from the African American community are ready to lynch a good friend of Tiger Woods for a joking remark she made, albeit in poor taste for them. But they, the self proclaimed protectors of the African American population have conveniently not taken several things into consideration, and here are some things they conveniently omitted in their so called crusade.
1) Kelly Tilghman had no intention of making her remark a racist joke; she has been a great friend of Tiger, and just made a joke in poor taste.
2) Tiger Woods said that it was not an issue!
3) Those so called protectors did not seek out the voice of the Asian American Community.
Yes, Tiger is half Thai; he is a visible member of the Asian American Community as well as the African American Community.
4) The Asian American community has not made an issue out of this.
5) Kelly Tilghman publicly apologized for making a joke in poor taste!
Now why are these guys trying to make something a big issue out of nothing? Earl Olfari Hutchinson, Al Sharpton and a few others have just gone too far in my opinion! I am part of the Asian American Community, and a huge number of people in the community know what racism is...are the people in my community making a big stink out of this? NO! NO! NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!
Now here are some more points I'll make:
6) The African American community did not go after Barack Obama when he made a joke saying that there is a black sheep in the family when his wife discovered that he and Dick Cheney are distant cousins. Obama is half white too....isn't the black sheep joke a kind of racist joke too?
7) Earl Olfari Hutchinson is not pure African American; he has some Caucasian ancestry too...look at his lighter skin and some of his physical features...he could pass as being Caucasian too in this society.
Now why are these ghouls trying to make something out of nothing? Earl, Al, and Jesse: are you reading this? I sure hope so...you're adding cannon fodder to the true racists...the Neo Nazis and the KKK eat this up like candy, and use it against all minority communities! Why aren't there enough members from the African American community standing up to SHARPTONGUE, JACKALL AND HATCHETMAN?
PLEASE TELL ME THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE SICK OF THIS!

He's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!
Mike Carona is in the house! Sheriff Carona has come back for now while he awaits a trial for political corruption charges. Remember my Sheriff Carona blog back in November? Where do you stand on this one? If you haven't seen the blog before, you can click on next to my avatar and click on the archive blog link, and bring up November, then my old blog will appear.
This time, anything goes! What are your thoughts on this one?
As I was watching the news Thursday morning (12/06/07), I saw a news story about a demand that jets produce fewer emissions in the future...sounds like a good idea to me, but I saw a red flag in the story...the demand came from left wing extremist Attorney General Jerry Brown. Now I am not against having fewer emmissions...I'd be a wacko if I asked for more emissions, but I smell a rat in this. Here's the reason why I smell a rat: Back in 1966, California passed the law that required cars and trucks from 1955 on to be retrofitted with Positive Crankcase Ventilation valves; the catch was this...Governor Edmund G. "Pat" Brown (Jerry's dad) owned the company which held the patent to the PCV valve...he was looking to make a fortune back then. I believe that Edmond G. "Jerry" Brown Jr. has something to gain financially if he gets his way.
Any comments? Smell a rat? Am I worse than a Moron?
