There have been many anti-Obama comments on the web.   I find it interesting that so many of them comment on the personal and not on the policies or practices of the Senator.    This weekend I think truly showed the character of the two men who would be president.

When tens of thousands of Americans were being displaced by flood waters, our President continued his "farewell tour of Europe".    Senator John McCain however cancelled his Texas fundraiser for Monday night.    Of course, the  reason was because the press was asking him about why he was willing to associate with Clayton Williams, who in a 1990 guberatorial race joked that the similarity between the weather & rape was that "if it's inevitable, just enjoy it"    We're talking about a real humanitarian here!  In Sen. McCain's defense, he did cancel the event once it was brought to his attention by the media.  (Of course, you wonder why no one thought to google this guy before they agreed to a fundraiser.)  (You also have to wonder about McCain keeping the money...you know the uproar that would happen if Obama tried to keep money from a source like this.)

How did Senator Obama spend the weekend?    He also cancelled a fundraising event.   His was in Iowa & he was unwilling to pull police officers from flood relief efforts for his protective detail.   He did however show up in Southern Illinois to fill a few sandbags & do interviews with local stations to bring attention to where sandbagging efforts were taking place.    A photo op?  Sure, but it was also used to bring in more local volunteers for the sandbagging efforts & as the Senator represents Illinois, it does seem to be appropriate that he was there.

It should also be noted that for the past week, the home page of Obama's website has shown a link to the American Red Cross for flood relief donations.  (This is not typical behavior of a candidate raising money for a general election)   He has also sent e-mails to his extensive e-mail list requesting donations to the Red Cross & listing sandbagging sites for those close to the flooding.

I hope the next time you read an e-mail telling you Obama is unpatriotic because he doesn't wear a flag pin or he's a secret muslim or a radical christian or the anti-christ  or any other silly rumor; you stop to think.    Maybe all that fine rhetoric is for real.   Maybe he really does care about America.    Maybe the reason so much time is spent attacking him personally with lies is because that's the only defense the Republicans have got this year

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HIS POLICIES AND POLITICS.... he is LIBERAL SOCIALIST... man what are you talking about. He is running for office and needs the photo ops. THE Iowa people already were there, he didnt 'motivate them". AHHHHHHH He isnt non patriotic, his wife hated America...she said it. So convienent for her to love america now. IT is like showing up to the Super Bowl with Cleveland in it when never showing up for a game when losing.

Character.... While flying in Iraq with troops on the ground, Obama is voting against money for weapons, bullets, amour... that is really concerned guy. Last I checked Chicago Gas is $4.oo too. Where has Obama bin for the last 20 months.... CAM PAINinggggggggggggg. He didnt even show up for National Security meetings for crying out loud. At least McCain friends werent bombing police stations and the Pentagon or calling Jews evil and dogs or calling white people the devil or running corrupt campaign groups for Obama. Words from some loon Texas guy is hardly a comparison, and the texas guy was shuned by even GOP voters in those days. Obama has embraced his looney friends. COME ON MAN YOU STOP AND THINK.

nemokc... OBAMA is not QUALIFIED... how you cant understand that is something else. He wouldnt be hired as Manager of a Wal-mart and you want him CEO of the USA.... What are you thinking bucko.? YOU STOP AND THINK ,,,, good golly.

Obviously you are not an Obama fan. But still, what was Sen. McCain doing for flood relief this weekend? Even if you disagree with his policy, give Obama his due. He at least did something! Senator McCain....?

Heckava job, Johnny!

(Although in fairness, McCain probably needs the money more than Obama, afterall if everyone who has supported Obama with a donation gave just $25 to the Red Cross, it would make a great difference.)

For those who won't go to the Obama site to donate to the Red Cross, they can be reached at redcross.org.

I urge everyone to help support our fellow Americans.

"reagan was not quilifed as president yet considered a great man so what is the point to use that excuse?"
This is you're second post with exactly the same writings. First, Regan was the GOVERNOR of California! BIG STATE. He did turn it around and had it on track. His Wife never hated America. They never looked down on us Typical White people. They never attended a Hate Filled Black or White Church. They never had a Priest that hates Whites and our Nation. They had no ties with Killers, Fraud types that got them sweet deals. We never had to wonder if they were Muslims! I have Issues, this Black Man makes me want to PUKE! You all know so much about him! Exactly how many conversations have you had with HIM? Before this Election Cycle, we never heard of this Anti-America Clown. I hope he does read this, I am sick of all the Blacks and this loser threatening all of us. Just Words; RIGHT!!

the next time all you Obama worshipers hear something from him that's soooooooooo good, THINK!

if something seems too good to be true, it probably is!

it's really pathetic that people are so desperate that they will put their faith & belief in a MAN without any questions.

What was Reagan before he was Governor? AN ACTOR! How did that qualify him for politics? Everyone seems to forget that....yet, they worship Reagan and think he was such a great president.

Obama has experience running his Pastor out of his church. Also, for driving white Democrat women out of the party.

So he has that going for him.

IMO opinion, the reason for so many personal attacks is because there is no real working RECORD to go after. he sorely lacks any REAL experience except for pandering to his special interest group as a "community activist" or whatever he called himself then.

Reagan actually WAS a Governer.(spell?) A very BIG state, Thus, a very BIG responsibility that evidently he handled well. Of course, in the end, he turned out to be a crook, just like the rest of them, but he at least had SOMETHING on his resume that qualified him.

Obama has nothing even remotely close to this. Being a senator for one year is nothing like being the Governer of a BIG state.

If he had been a senator for years maybe, a governer, yes, even Hilary doesn't really have any REAL qualifications either.

But, then again, Jimmy Carter had this stuff on HIS resume & he turned out to be a complete dolt who allowed himself to be pushed around by the liberal dems in congress.

And what were Reagan's qualifications before he became governor?! NOTHING!
Princess, your last sentence says it all. Even people who HAVE experience can screw things up! So I guess that proves that having experience isn't all it's cracked up to be....

Oh girlscout, long before he entered politics Ronald Reagan was a devout enemy of Communism. He first encountered it in Hollywood in the late 40's as President of the Screen Actors Guild. I'd give you a link to get the real resume of President Reagan, but we both know it would be a waste of time, so I posted his testimony to the House Un-American Activities Committee. Maybe you'll learn something, but I won't hold my breath President Reagan said it best when he said liberals know so many facts, that just aren't so. Rest well Mr. President, and thank you.

In 1947, Ronald Reagan was an actor and president of the Screen Actors Guild. His active involvement in politics was just beginning, as his beliefs began shifting from liberal to conservative. Throughout out the 1940s he was active in anti-communist movements, which led him into the political arena.

In this testimony, Reagan comments on the activity of communists in the Screen Actors Guild.

Testimony of Ronald Reagan before HUAC
October 23, 1947

CHAIRMAN J. PARNELL THOMAS: The record will show that Mr. McDowell, Mr. Vail, Mr. Nixon, and Mr. Thomas are present. A subcommittee is sitting. Staff members present: Mr. Robert E. Stripling, chief investigator; Messrs. Louis J. Russell, H.A. Smith, and Robert B. Gaston, investigators; and Mr. Benjamin Mandel, director of research.

STRIPLING: When and where were you born, Mr. Reagan?

RONALD REAGAN: Tampico, Illinois, February 6, 1911.

STRIPLING: What is your present occupation?

REAGAN: Motion picture actor.

STRIPLING: How long have you been eng

After reading the responses from our "friends" on the left,(LOL) it appears they are clueless to the history of Ronald Reagan's life experiences, yet continue to post what they've "heard" from their equally uninformed fellow libbies. It's odd that they refuse to take advantage of the technological world we live in. Reluctantly, I must thank Al Gore for inventing the Internet.(ROFLMFAO!)

McCain is a War-Monger who lies about his hate for war in his campaign ads. His credibility as a person is already shot. Anyone who has half a brain can see through his lies.
