On July 31 I wrote a blog about people running stop signs, and how I was concerned that someone was going to be hurt or killed because of this. Then on October 21, I was the victim of a stop sign runner. The driver has not been identified, and the other victim and I have recieved no compensation from anywhere, as uninsured motorist insurance requires the culprit to be caught to prove he is uninsured, I bet most of you did not know that, I sure didn't. This should be changed, there should be some recourse for people who are the innocent victims of thugs who drive like there's no one else on the road. It's too late for me, but who's to say they won't get me again, or you. Talk to your legislator about this. Insurance companies should at least inform us of what we are not covered for.
