The Virginia Tech tragedy is on everyones mind these days, as it should be. The young man had attracted attention to himself earlier, but how do you recognize the possibility of actions like his? One of my favorite cousins, Steve Noonkester, and his lovely wife, graduated from VT, and I feel for them as well as all others connected to the school. Cindy Farmer, as we all know, went to VT, but everyone in the country is affected by this, and we should support each other as best we can.  I hope polititians and tv commentators will resist the temptation to make this campaign fodder, and not start pointing fingers, but it's too late for some. Let's help each other through this, and then sit down, and try to figure out what can be done to prevent this from happening again. For now I'll just say, May God bless Virginia Tech, and all who care about this great school, and tonight ,let us all pray for one another.

Married,1968 to present, 2 sons, 6 grandchildren, retired after 40 yrs at the same company. A veteran of the U.S.Army in the mid sixties, and conservative politically. I am concerned about what is lacking in the education our children are receiving in school. When I talk to my grandkids about history or geography, it is totally new to them.
