T. Boone Pickens, an old time oilman has come up with a positive plan to help fight the energy crisis. It may not be a cure-all, but it is a start, and Pickens credentials are solid, he knows what he's talking about. Go to pickensplan.com, and see what he has to say. From his achievements alone I would say he would have to be one of the smartest men around.He seems real positive on his plan and he's sticking it out there for everybody to see.I hope he gets support from the powers to be but from what I've heard he'll probably do it on his own if it can be done.

Hello, Soldier....I liked that - LNG is running millions of forklifts everyday safely, and that Central US wind could charge a lot of electric cars....

That's what we overlooked in the '70s, and early 80s....take it out of our American faces, ....out of sight, out of mind....We knew this was coming decades ago....Yet, here we sit, same boot, same ass.....We've got to stop being DEPENDENT....the "FREEST" Country on Earth....ain't very FREE, are we?

And WHY do we owe CHINA billions of DOLLARS (US Currency!)....We're sending them BILLIONS in AID, But we OWE them X-BILLIONS???!!....Who ate a bad pizza last night?..not me...

Let's brush this horse down now, and let 'im to pasture.....he's tired, and worn out...If we need to buy a steam engine, let's do it now before the price goes up....while we can still make payments, instead of taking a Mortgage on the Family Farm!

On the edge of cheesy, I know, but a valid point....

Pickens plan is something that costs us more $ and won't be any fast cure so you tell me how it works lol.

Hello, scari.......Hopefully, this time, it'll be a longterm investment instead of paying the Man overseas....

Since it's HERE though, we'll have to deal exclusively with the Politicos....I don't know which is worse....?

scari, there are no fast cures, we didn't get into this mess overnight, and yes it will cost $, as will anything else, nothing is free, but if we don't start working on the problem soon, it may be too late. Bottom line is we can't continue as we have been.

Married,1968 to present, 2 sons, 6 grandchildren, retired after 40 yrs at the same company. A veteran of the U.S.Army in the mid sixties, and conservative politically. I am concerned about what is lacking in the education our children are receiving in school. When I talk to my grandkids about history or geography, it is totally new to them.
