I have looked most of the day (on and off) awaiting to see if someone would give Eric (and his cameraman) a "pat on the back".  Well, I haven't seen one, so here goes, "Eric, GREAT JOB on the story about why the lawns were so green at Greensboro's public buildings!!!  You caught them 'wet handed', LOL, and it was a great service to the community, that was responding to the request of saving water!!!  If you hadn't caught that, then there would be no telling how much water would have been wasted on the grass of the city's municipal lawns!  Thank you for bring this to their attention and ours.  As I said before, GREAT JOB!!!"

I also heard today that ALL of NC is under "mandatory water restriction". Just FYI.

Not just water wasted on the lawn, but the sidewalk. That sprinkler was watering the concrete as much as the grass. Good job, Eric!

You're right, HSM, I forgot to add that! Guess they thought that they would "grow some sidewalk" to add to what they had (or parking lots), LOL!!!

I'm so glad that you gave Eric and his photographer (Matt? Was that you?) a shout-out, SERQ.

He is a top-notch reporter who is passionate about his work, and dedicated to precision as well as fairness. I've worked with many impeccable professionals, and he's at the top of my list of examples to follow.

Plus, he's an all-around nice guy. Just ask him. :)

Great job, Erk!

Thanks Emily, they really deserved it!!! I thought of all the people who were observing the request for the water restriction, and then when they "caught them in the act", well it just seemed like a "perfect job"!!! Gottem'!!!!

I missed that story. Great job Erik! A lot of times big companies think that rules apply to everyone but them. Glad you caught them in the act!

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the compliments. That's rare in this line of work so you learn to savor them.

Chris Weaver did a great job shooting the video. I appreciate his family letting him work in the middle of the night to get the video that's needed.

Thank you for watching,

Eric

You are most welcome, Eric and Chris!!! As I said before, you caught them "wet handed", LOL! If you hadn't done that story, they would probably still be watering their lawns and "sidewalks". Congratulations, too! (And, thanks Chris's family, for letting "out so late"!!!)

I'm late in seeing this but thanks!

You can't imagine the adrenaline that pumped when we saw those sprinklers start up.

Yes I can, LOL! I actually felt some of it when "I saw" them come on in the report! Catching the city doing a "no-no" had to be "GREAT"!!! I'm glad your family let get out that late, because if you guys hadn't, who would have known? GREAT REPORTING!!! And, thanks again! Good Job!!!

Hi, I'm a 46 yr. old mother of 4, widowed since 1995, so most of my children are grown. I have a fiance of 6 yrs., lots of grandchildren, 1 boy and 3 girls, plus 1 grand-pug. I LOVE the ocean (esp. Atlantic Beach, NC..God's country). I am an avid if not crazy Carolina Panthers fan and live to see football season so I can see them play. I'm a currently disabled Registered Nurse although I plan to go back to work when I am well. I love music (Go Chris Daughtry) from Counting Crows to Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins, etc. (very flexible). You kind of have to be with teens in the house. Fox 8 seems like a second family to me esp. Brad and Cindy, since I lived in Danville, VA at one time. So I hope any responses I have are informative and hold your interest. I'm also an animal lover of all kinds.
