Ok, got a question that is gonna show how ignorant I am! Ok, I have never had stock in the market or cared to for two reasons, one never had the extra cash to buy stock and two never understood what it was all about. I only know what I have read or heard, like buy up stock in a small up and coming company and as it grows and your shares start going up earning you more money cause the price of the share goes up. At that point you can sell for a profit or hold in hopes it will continue to rise. I don't technically have stock in the market but my wife does. Her financial adviser had her buy stocks in over seas markets. Commen names you would recognize as American companies but in foreign markets. They have done well. Not to get everyoe to go buy stock in other markets, just letting you know what has worked so far with her moneys. What would happen to us commen folk here in the US if the stock market did crash? They talk about the great depression, factories closing, companies going out of business, etc. Why? Economics 101 was not my best class. Maybe FOX 4 can put together a special "Stock Market, What does it mean to you?" Help us that are on the outside understand what is happening and how it will effect the masses if the worst case scenario was to happen.  And where does the Government get $700 million to bail out a company and say we the tax payer don't have to worry about it, it won't raise my taxes. Give a lesson on economics 101!
